Hello everyone,
On Friday April 13th, The Eat2Feed Program held its second feeding events at “Peace for the Streets by Kids from the Streets”- PSKS- in Seattle, WA. What a delightful evening it was! A group of great people enjoying some delicious Asian fusion food from the reputed Inchin Bamboo Garden in Redmond, WA while exchanging very insightful thoughts. The event was attended by men and women of all ages and was enriched by the presence of people from different backgrounds with very intriguing life experiences. The discussion was fun and educating, ranging from stories told both in the Bible and the Quran to fashionable styles available to Muslim women and more. One of the main topics discussed was the role Muslim women play in society, how they are perceived and how perceive themselves. Everyone in the audience enjoyed hearing about it, giving feedback and raising interesting questions.
The dinner lasted for about 2 hours. We shared lots of laughs and heard perspectives from kids as young as 7 years old on various topics. We talked about the place of race and religion in society, about marriage and about places people travelled to. It was truly refreshing!
Thanks to everyone who attended and graced us with their presence. And to the Eat2Feed team, congratulations on yet another successful event!
I am sure you all are excited to take a look at some of the pictures taken during the event. We hope that enjoy them :)
